By arguing unnecessarily, you lose the person who is more important than the argument.
It is better to save a person by stopping the argument than to lose a valuable connection by proving yourself to be an Aristotle.
Everyone who comes into your life is important. The world is full of billions of people. A very small number of them are related to you. Very few you know by name. 🌼 Very few get a chance to talk comfortably. Very few people are so close that they can talk to them without hesitation.🌼
So everyone involved in your story must have happened for one reason or another. Don't sacrifice it to your desire to be an Aristocrat. Even if you are Aristotle, don't look down on others with your intelligence, but lift them up and bring them to your level.
